Draft version 2026-10-draft-1
Draft under legal review
This document describes how Wingmate is being built. It has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer and is not final. It will be replaced with a reviewed version before public launch.
Wingmate helps students plan international study. To do that well, we keep a structured record of the information you choose to give us. This page explains what we collect, why, and the control you have over it.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address, name and date of birth.
- Your study profile: academic results, test scores, study preferences and budget, entered by you.
- Documents you upload, such as marksheets and test reports (when this feature launches).
- Your conversations with Wingmate guidance, and a record of usage (for example, how many questions you asked).
- A record of what you agreed to, and security events such as sign-ins, exports and deletion requests.
Why we use it
- To give you guidance that fits your situation without asking the same questions again.
- To keep your account secure and to prevent misuse.
- To manage your plan and any subscription.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who can see it
- Only you can see your profile and documents in Wingmate. Access is enforced by the database itself.
- We use service providers to run Wingmate, including database and file hosting, and an AI provider (Anthropic) that generates guidance. When you ask a question, we send it with the parts of your profile the answer needs. We never send your name, phone number, city or exact date of birth. Providers process data only to provide the service to us. The full list will be published here before launch.
Students under 18
If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to you using Wingmate. You must be at least 13 to create an account.
Your choices and rights
- View and correct your information at any time in My Profile. Facts you mention in conversation are only saved to your profile if you choose to save them.
- Download a copy of your information from Account settings.
- Delete your account from Account settings. This permanently removes your profile and saved information. A minimal security log may be kept where the law requires it.
Contact
A contact address for privacy questions will be published here before launch.
